Spring 2024 Professional Musical Theatre classes for Ages 14/16 to Adult include Acting, Voice, and Tech. Classes are either foundational and a pre-requisite for future advanced classes or intermediate and require some form of pre-requisite to enroll. Students may enroll in one or multiple classes each session.
This spring we're bringing back our 'pre-pro' track for students ages 8-13 with a focus on introducing students to professional musical theatre and all that it entails. Each semester includes an Introduction to Professional Musical Theatre class as well as a specific focus for 'pre-pro' students to develop their skills in preparation for entering Musical Theatre Training Institute's professional certification program which is open to students ages 14 to Adult.
This foundation level voice class will focus on building technique, developing sound, vocal health, effective practice routines, and an introduction to musical elements of harmony, ensemble, and solo performance. Students will learn to care for their voice and improve their technique through a series of exercises, theory, and practice.
A Musical Theater class that incorporates valuable lessons such as teamwork, commitment, conquering fear, being prepared, theatre etiquette, confidence, and an introduction to the professional world of musical theatre. This class aims to give students an arts foundation that can be applied to further training and be an enrichment tool to work alongside their education journey.
The most important and stressful part of musical theatre can be auditions. Nailing down your own process that works to keep you calm and consistent is key - we can help! This class will focus on choosing a song, developing technique, and best practices to help you walk into your next audition with the confidence and charisma you need to succeed.
All experts & sessions are subject to change. Foundational classes count towards MTTI's Professional Musical Theatre Certification program.
Students actively and currently enrolled in the Musical Theatre Training Institute have first access to auditions, internships, scholarships, and more with CST & MTTI
